The secret project that might save lives

So I’ve just been practicing my lines for a campaign that I’m involved in.

It aims to show the dangers, sorrows and struggles we will face should euthanasia become legal in New Zealand.

My friend, Jane Silloway Smith, a PhD with years of experience researching and discussing pro-life issues, is behind the project.

She’s been keeping tabs on the debate in Parliament and has some fantastic information on her site, Every Life.

She’s also collated a huge number of voices from a range of different experiences and backgrounds to speak up on why they are troubled by the idea of legalising euthanasia.

On Monday a few of us are getting in front of the camera to share our hearts and thoughts on this big, thorny topic.

I’m looking forward to seeing how it all turns out, and I hope you are too.

In the meantime, make sure you find a way to make your voice heard, whether it is by visiting your local MP, organising groups to write to the MPs investigating euthanasia, or blogging about it.

Oh, and keep an eye out for the campaign in February!

PS. You can find the details for the MPs involved over at Parliament’s website.
